Chocolate Ice Cream Cake

This chocolate ice cream cake is delicious and easy to make with minimal costs.

Ingredients:

  • 1 box of chocolate cake mix (your favorite brand)
  • Ingredients required for the cake mix (e.g., eggs, oil, water)
  • 1.5 quarts of your favorite chocolate ice cream
  • Whipped cream
  • Chocolate sauce or hot fudge sauce
  • Chocolate sandwich cookies, chocolate chips, and other desired toppings

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven according to the instructions on the cake mix box.
  1. Prepare the cake mix according to the instructions on the box, combining the cake mix, eggs, oil, and water in a mixing bowl. Mix well until all the ingredients are thoroughly combined.
  1. Grease and flour two round cake pans or a rectangular baking pan, depending on the shape you prefer for your cake.
  1. Pour the prepared cake batter into the pans evenly.
  1. Place the pans in the preheated oven and bake according to the instructions on the cake mix box. The baking time may vary, so keep an eye on the cakes and perform a toothpick test to check for doneness. Insert a toothpick into the center of the cake; if it comes out clean or with a few crumbs, then the cake is done.
  1. Once the cakes are baked, remove them from the oven and let them cool completely on a wire rack.
  1. Take the chocolate ice cream out of the freezer and let it soften slightly at room temperature so it’s easier to work with.
  1. Once the cakes have cooled, place one cake layer on a serving plate or cake stand.
  1. Spread a layer of softened chocolate ice cream evenly over the top of the cake layer. To smooth it out, use a spatula or the back of a spoon.
  1. Carefully place the second cake layer on top of the ice cream layer.
  1. Spread another layer of softened chocolate ice cream on top of the second cake layer, again ensuring it’s spread evenly.
  1. Optionally, add a layer of whipped cream on top of the ice cream layer for added decoration and flavor.
  1. Place the assembled ice cream cake in the freezer and set it for at least 2-3 hours or until it’s firm again.
  1. Once the cake has set, you can remove it from the freezer and decorate it. You can drizzle chocolate sauce or hot fudge sauce on top, add more whipped cream, or any other toppings you prefer.
  1. Slice, serve the chocolate ice cream cake, and enjoy!

Strawberry Ice Cream Cake

Refreshing and delightful, strawberry ice cream cake is perfect for a summer evening.

Ingredients:

  • 1 box of strawberry cake mix (your favorite brand)
  • Ingredients listed on the cake mix box (e.g., eggs, oil, water)
  •  6 cups of strawberry ice cream
  • Whipped cream
  • Fresh strawberries

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven according to the instructions on the cake mix box.
  1. Prepare the cake batter according to the directions on the box. Combine the cake mix, eggs, oil, and water in a mixing bowl, whisking them together until well combined.
  1. Grease and flour two round cake pans, or use parchment paper to line the bottoms. Pour the cake batter evenly into the pans.
  1. Bake the cakes according to the package instructions. Insert a toothpick into the center of the cakes to check for doneness. If the toothpick comes out clean, then the cakes are ready. Remove them from the oven, letting them cool completely.
  1. While the cakes are cooling, take the strawberry ice cream out of the freezer and let it soften slightly. It should be soft enough to spread, but not completely melted.
  1. Once the cakes have cooled, remove them from the pans. If there is a domed top, you can level it off using a serrated knife or cake leveler.
  1. Place one of the cake layers on a serving plate or cake stand. Spread a generous layer of softened strawberry ice cream over the top of the cake.
  1. Carefully place the second cake layer on top of the ice cream layer, creating a sandwich with the ice cream in the middle.
  1. Spread the remaining ice cream over the top and sides of the cake, creating an even layer. You can use an offset spatula or the back of a spoon to smooth it out.
  1. If desired, decorate the cake with whipped cream and fresh strawberries.
  1. Place the completed cake in the freezer for at least 4-6 hours or until the ice cream has re-solidified.
  1. Before serving, let the cake sit at room temperature for a few minutes to soften slightly, making it easier to slice.

Vanilla Ice Cream “Cake”

  • 6 cups of vanilla ice cream or your favorite ice cream

  • Chocolate sauce, caramel sauce, or both!

  1. Take the vanilla ice cream out of the freezer and let it soften slightly. You want it to be soft enough to mold but not completely melted.

  1. Add layers of different flavors or mix-ins to the ice cream if desired. For example, swirl in some chocolate sauce, sprinkle crushed cookies or candies or add a layer of fruit puree.
